At Broadbents Solicitors we appreciate that when a relationship breaks down, stress levels are naturally high. Our solicitor is experienced in all aspects of Divorce Law to ensure you receive support, honest advice and guidance.

We believe that advice should be available to everyone who needs it, and at a reasonable rate. With this in mind, we offer a fixed fee for an initial advisory meeting or for acting on your behalf in relation to a Divorce Application, whether as an applicant or a respondent, or jointly.

Fixed Fee for initial consultation and advice.

For a meeting to discuss your position and to assess the various options open to you, we charge a fixed fee of £195 inclusive of VAT. This fee includes written confirmation being sent to you following the meeting, summarising your case and the initial advice.

To enable us to offer this Service, the fee needs to be paid in advance of or at your appointment.

Remote appointments (by telephone or video) can be arranged by agreement.

Our Divorce Services and Rates

Our fixed fee for acting for an Applicant in divorce is £600 + VAT. In addition, a Court fee, (currently £595) is payable (total payable £1315). This fee is payable in full before the Divorce application is submitted.

This includes:

• Attending and Advising You
• Preparation and Filing of the Divorce Application
• All Necessary Steps to Progress an uncontested Divorce to a final Divorce Order

If you are a respondent our fixed fee is £250 plus vat. The fixed fees do not include:

• Any advice and assistance relating to other aspects of the separation, including children and financial matters.
• In the case of an Applicant, obtaining a copy of the marriage certificate (the original certificate or a certified copy is required to be filed with the court on commencement of the application)
• If a respondent, any work necessary to obtain a final Divorce Order on your behalf in the event of the Applicant failing to apply for it.

Any work additional to that included in our fixed fee can either be done for an agreed amount or on the basis of agreed hourly rates.
